PTO ONE user guide overview

Updated October 31, 2026 · Applies to PTO ONE 1.34

PTO ONE handles time off. You request it, your manager approves or declines it, and everyone can see what they have left. Managers also record time off for their team and see who's off.

For signing in, the menu and your profile, see the Platform ONE user guide.

Key capabilities

  • Request time off: whole days or part of a day, with a note for your manager.
  • Approve time off: managers approve or decline requests, and record time off for their team.
  • See who's off: a team calendar of the month.
  • Leave balances: how much each person has left of each type of time off.

How it works

Your organization sets the types of time off, such as vacation or sick leave. Some types need approval; others take effect at once, and your manager is told. Time off is counted in your own business days and hours, so weekends, days you don't normally work and public holidays aren't counted.

Your manager is who your administrator set as your Reports to manager. Without one, the lead of your team decides, then the managers of your location, then the administrators.

Who can use it

Page Who sees it
Time off Everyone with the Admin, Manager or Staff role.
Team calendar The same people. It needs the Professional edition.
Leave balances Managers and administrators.

You need to be linked to a person on the People page to have time off. Your administrator does that.
