PTO ONE administrator guide overview
Updated October 31, 2026 · Applies to PTO ONE 1.34
As a PTO ONE administrator, you decide which types of time off people can take, which need approval, and how many days each person gets. Users, people, teams and holidays are set up the same way in every product: see the Platform ONE administrator guide.
Key capabilities
- Types of time off: add, rename, hide and order them, and choose which need approval.
- Allowances: the days a year for each type, earned up front or monthly, with carry-over.
- Leave balances: a person's own allowance, an opening balance, and adjustments.
- Exports: time off and balances as CSV files.
How it works
PTO ONE uses what you set up in Platform ONE:
| Platform ONE setting | What PTO ONE uses it for |
|---|---|
| People | Who has time off, their Reports to manager, and their Start date for a first year. |
| Teams | Team leads approve when there's no direct manager, and the team calendar groups by team. |
| Holidays | Public holidays aren't counted as time off. |
| Business rules | Time off types. |
Who can use it
Administrators set up time off types and change balances. Managers see balances and, on Enterprise, export.
