Troubleshoot Stakeholder ONE

Updated October 30, 2026 · Applies to Stakeholder ONE 1.3

This article helps you solve common problems when you use Stakeholder ONE.

I can't sign in

Cause: A wrong password, an expired set-password link, or too many failed attempts.

Solution:

  • Select Forgot password? on the sign-in page to set a new password.
  • After eight failed attempts in 15 minutes, wait 15 minutes, or ask your administrator to unlock you.
  • If your organization uses single sign-on, use the SSO button instead of a password.

See Sign in to Stakeholder ONE.

Cause: The link has expired, has already been used, or was cut off when copied.

Solution: Select Forgot password? on the sign-in page to get a new link, or ask your administrator to send a new invitation.

I can't find a record a colleague mentioned

Cause: You don't have access to it. Depending on your role, you might only see records you own or that were shared with you.

Solution: Ask the record's owner to share it with you.

There's no Edit, Add or Delete button

Cause: You can view the record but not change it, or the project is Completed or On hold, which locks it.

Solution: Ask the owner to share it with you with Can edit access. For a locked project, someone who can edit it must select Reopen. See Records, ownership and sharing.

I can't create an account or project

Cause: Your role doesn't allow it, so there's no New account or New project button.

Solution: Ask your administrator.

A file won't upload

Cause: Each file can be up to 25 MB, and you can upload up to 20 files at a time.

Solution: Compress or split large files, or upload them in smaller batches.

I didn't get a notification by email

Cause: Notifications about mentions and comments appear only in the app, under the bell icon. Stakeholder ONE doesn't email them.

Solution: Check the bell icon, or My mentions on the My Activities dashboard.

I deleted something by mistake

Solution: Restore it from the recycle bin.
