Quickstart: Set up Stakeholder ONE for your organization

Updated October 30, 2026 · Applies to Stakeholder ONE 1.3

In this quickstart, you prepare a new Stakeholder ONE environment for your team: you set up email, add your branding and currencies, invite users, and clear out the demo records. It takes about 20 minutes.

Prerequisites

  • The administrator account that ONEConsult created for you.
  • The SMTP details for a mailbox that Stakeholder ONE can send from. If you don't have them yet, you can still invite users by copying their invite links yourself.

Explore the sample data

A new environment includes sample accounts, stakeholders and projects so you can see how the app works. Take a few minutes to open some of them before you continue.

Set up email

  1. Select your avatar, and then select Email.
  2. Under Transport, select SMTP server, and then enter your server details.
  3. Select Save settings.
  4. Under Send a test email, enter your own address, and then select Send test.

For details, see Configure email.

Add your branding

  1. Select your avatar, and then select Branding.
  2. Enter your Organisation name, and then select Upload image to add your logo.
  3. Select Save.

For details, see Customize branding.

Set up currencies

  1. Select your avatar, and then select Currencies.
  2. Select Add currency, and add the currency you report in. The first currency you add becomes the default.
  3. Add any other currencies your projects use, with their rate to the default currency.

For details, see Manage currencies.

Invite your users

  1. Select your avatar, and then select User management.
  2. Select Add user, enter the person's Username and Email, choose a Role, and then select Create.
  3. Stakeholder ONE emails them a link to set their password. The link is also shown to you, so you can send it yourself if needed.

For details, see Manage users.

Remove the sample data

When you're ready to work with real data:

  1. Select your avatar, and then select Sample data.
  2. Select Remove sample data, and confirm.

Records that you created yourself aren't affected.
